Mt Cook to Dunedin

Via Oamaru

sunny 21 °C

Can not believe we have had amazing weather again!
Woke up early to see the mighty Mt Cook herself basking in the sunrise through our room window!
Leaving around 8am we encounter 20 metre visibility due to some clouds that rolled in over the mountains.... 😳
Driving down through Twizel into Omarama we stopped at the Clay Cliffs and the cloud lifted a little.
We explored an old farmhouse site with only the chimney standing... was so exciting to find an Apple tree and pear tree in the paddock next to the what would have been, house. The sheep dip was rather old and had a date on it... 1940.
Continuing on to Oamaru we had a look around the old warehouses. Such a nice place to wander.
The Moeraki Boulders never cease to amaze me every time!!
Dunedin..... popped out of nowhere as we came over the hill!
Richard made a lovely dinner in the motel room and we are off to sleep early!!
