Te Anau to Queenstown

sunny 22 °C

Had a nice drive from Te Anau to Queenstown, can not believe how big it is and how busy it is!
Such a back packers haven and certainly the adventure capital of NZ! We saw many a broken bone too haha and... there are physios and chiropractors, masseuse and doctors around every corner!
We are staying in a beautiful motel called the Shotover Lodge... it is such a nice room with all the mid cons and amenities but we have the use of a communal kitchen and lounge... will come back here one day!
Today we had lunch in town and then walked up to the Gondola and Luge. Freaking awesome!!!
After Mel whooped Richards butt on the luge 😆😜 did the faster one.... he took off but I beat another fellow who was a bit taken aback that I zoomed past!! Haha I'm sure I nearly stacked it a few times... hitting corners on two wheels 😆😆
We went back to the motel and recouped before crossing the road (literally) and having an Onsen, hot tub! A private hot tub with open roof and goodies! Such a wind-down and relaxing! Just what we needed.
The view was so beautiful!
Dinner - roast lamb and Vege. We cooked in the kitchen then ate in the lounge and chilled with a game of pool before hitting our pillows again.
Another beautiful day!
